Busy Sunday
This morning I woke up very early to go to church. Today, they were dedicating the mass to the priests since it is the Year of the Priests. The mass was bilingual since it was the American mass combined with the Haitian mass. I had to make sure I found a parking spot and a seat because it was going to be crowded. One of the bishops came and spoke with us. I'm happy I went because it was exciting and the message was inspirational.

Going Back to Work
Going back to work was not easy. I was out for almost two months. After two days, I got comfortable and used to it again. Especially when I had to help the patients get better. Yesterday, I had a patient who was really worried about his illness. He kept asking me questions about how he looked because he thought he was dying. I told him he looked fine and that he was going to get better. I also said he had to think positively about his health. He asked me to pray for him and after I spent some time talking with him, he felt better.

Friday night
Today, I was very busy from the time I came home from school. As soon as I got home I did the laundry. That took a while. By the time I was finished, I could not start dinner. Then, I decided that I should just get pizza since there was no time to make anything. I knew that it was not the healthiest thing to eat but, I did not have that much of a choice.

Last night
I was watching the news last night, and I saw this story about a father with two children. They lived in Crown Heights. There was a fire in the building where they lived, and they didn't have any fire detectors in the apartment. Sadly, the father and two kids died.
This story reminds me of where I used to live five years ago. I was in the kitchen cooking one day and I heard my carbon monoxide alarm go off. I told my landlord and then called 911. She thought it was not a big deal. I started to feel dizzy and stepped out because I was worried even though I didn't smell anything. My daughter and I went to the Emergency Room where they found good amounts of the gas in our blood. The Fire Department came to the house and found gas leaking which was the cause of the carbon monoxide.
Anyway, I'm advising everyone to make sure they have both a fire detector and carbon monoxide alarm in their home.

A Busy Saturday
I woke up early this morning to go to therapy. Then I went to go get my hair done. After the hair salon, I went to the supermarket. It was raining so hard outside. The parking lot at the supermarket was so crowded that I felt like going home. But, I stayed because I had no choice. When I got home, I made dinner. My daughter enjoyed it so much that I was glad that I went to the market after all.

Thursday morning
This morning, while I was trying to get some sleep, my daughter called me from the bus stop because she missed the first bus. This happened because she takes too long to get ready in the morning. My phone rang in the middle of my nap and she was asking me to pick her up, and drop her to the next bus. I had to get out of my bed and take her so she wouldn't be late.
My phone rang around 9:30 after my daughter was in school and she called to tell me that the mayor scheduled a random security check in her school. She was crying to me saying that they took her ipod and her cellphone for no reason. I told her she shouldn't have it out, but I found out that it was in her bookbag. So now, she has to wait until Monday when I can come to the school and pick it up for her.

At the Laundromat
After school, I went home. When I got there, I noticed that I have so many clothes to wash. I decided to go to the laundromat. While my clothes were being washed I sat down. I saw this man who was about 80 years old. This poor man had a dryer filled with clothes, and he was trying to take them out one by one. Some of them dropped on the floor, and he could barely bend down to pick it up. When I saw that, I got a laundry cart for him because he did not have one. I helped him take the clothes out of the dryer and fold them. The old man felt so happy and thanked me. I was glad I helped him out.
So, last week Barby was asking us to do three things to show kindness to other people. Helping and paying attention to others is something I believe we should continue to do. Believe me, you will feel happy about doing it.

Monday Night
After class I was rushing to come home because I wanted to make dinner. After dinner, I wanted to get ready to watch baseball. At the same time, I'll be watching my WWE Monday Night RAW, and UFC. So far the Phillies and Yankees are 6 to 2 in the 5th Inning. But there is still hope because there is plenty of time left.

Parent-Teacher Conference
Last night, I went to my daughter's school for parent-teacher conferences. I heard all good reports from the teachers about her. She had a good report card and I was happy, and so proud of her. Last week, I took her shopping for winter clothes. This week when she got her good report, she asked if we could go again. I told her, "No, we can't go shopping every weekend."

A Busy Vacation
Hi everyone! How are you all doing? Hope your vacation was okay. I had so much to do in these two days, it was not vacation for me. On Monday, I had two doctor appointments and therapy. Tuesday, one doctor appointment and dental appointment for me and my daughter. It was pretty hectic. By the way, are you guys ready for the new teacher, or are you worried? Don't be scared, I think Barby will be be fun just like Christina. Also, remember that if we don't want to have time-outs, we have to behave ourselves and compromise. If we do not do what we are supposed to do, Christie will be disappointed in us. So let's be prepared for Barby tomorrow.
See ya.

Wednesday night
Since I got home from school, I've been very busy. I made dinner, even though I didn't feel like cooking. I had no choice because I don't really like outside food. After that, I had a little bit of time to watch Glee, and basketball (the Knicks and the Nets were playing). I never watched Glee before but this episode seemed interesting. There's a lot of dancing in it which is nice. By the way guys, I'm actually a big sports fan. I love UFC which is Ultimate fighter Countdown. It involves different types of fighting in one sport. Hope you guys have good night.. see you all tomorrow!

Tuesday night
Hi guys, what's up? I just wanted to let you know that I'm very sorry about what happened during my presentation. I did not mean to be so emotional, but I could not help it. I never want to talk about my past because I know it could be very emotional for me and others. Anyway, I'm fine now. This is why we can not let our obstacles take over our lives. We have the power to control it.

So today I was on Facebook because I didn't go on for a long time, and I had a lot of friend requests. I had friends from all over, work, church, and some people I've known for a long time. Anyway, it was nice to see my old friends again. Some moved away and others I just don't see often. It was exciting to reconnect with them. My daughter actually decided to joke about me being on Facebook because she doesn't have one yet. She thinks I'm trying to be cool but she doesn't know I was born that way. : )

This morning, I went to therapy. When I came home, my back was killing me and I was exhausted. I forced myself to come to school even though I was really tired. Going to school wasn't that bad because everyday I learn something new. After school when I got home, my daughter surprised me with a McDonald's chicken sandwich. But then, she asked me "Did you eat your sandwich?" I told her no and when I went downstairs , I saw her eating it. She told me that I didn't want it and then asked me if I wanted some now after she almost finished it.

The City
Today, I went to the city for an appointment. It was at 1 p.m. I was stuck on the train since 12 o'clock and didn't get there until after 2 p.m. While on the train, I met this old couple who was supposed to go to Queens, but was on a train to Manhattan. When the train stopped at Roosevelt Avenue, they asked me if we passed 179 Street yet. I told them that they were on the wrong train because the one we were on was heading to Manhattan. I had to take them upstairs, go to the platform on the other side, and point them in the right direction. After I did that, I felt happy to help them because I was tired of sitting on the train.

Instinct
Last week I had plans to go to the mall and go to the movies. When I woke up Saturday morning I felt very depressed and discouraged. I did not feel like doing anything and the day passed by. When the night came, I had to go to work, but I did not feel like it. So, I don't like calling sick and I went to work. Then the accident happened. Sometimes you can feel when something will happen to you. The same thing happened 6 years ago. My daughter and I were supposed to go to a family picnic in Eisenhower Park. The day before, the picnic I went many places to buy the ticket, but no tickets. I felt very disappointed and discouraged. A friend called me and offered me two tickets. I told her I didn't feel like going anymore and I really didn't want to go. But, she encouraged me so me and my daughter were on the way to go when we got on Fulton and Front Street. A driver took a red light and crashed into my car. We almost got killed, and my car was totaled. Sometimes we must listen to our instincts.

The panic time
Last night I was on my way going to work. It was about a couple of minutes before 11:00 p.m. There was a car ahead of me, I think the driver was sleeping behind the wheel because he was driving so slow. So, I went a little bit faster and I passed the other car. Right after I passed the other driver, and I saw a police car with flashing lights and sirens behind me. I pulled over, two police officers came to me. One at my door and the other one at the passenger's door. I said to them "What's going on officers? Why did you guys stop me?" They said to me, "Why are you in a hurry? Where are you going?" I replied, "I'm going to work." They asked where I went to work and I told them New York Hospital. I showed them my work ID and a P.B.A. card I have. They said to me we need you to take care of us when we come to the Hospital. You have to be careful, don't rush, and they let me go. The reason I was panic, because sometime even though you're not wrong, they give you a ticket. I don't like tickets at all, especially traffic tickets where you get points taken off on your license.

Sunday
I went to church today. I cleaned and ironed when I got back home. Later on I headed to my friend's house. When I got there, I saw her neighbor outside. They had a eighteen month old. While I was talking to them, the little girl came to me and she refused to go back to her mom and dad. I found that was very interesting. The parents told me that she like me because I still have a lot of babies in me. I ended the day when I finally went home and fell asleep.

My Saturday
Today was a long day. I went to a funeral this morning because a friend of mine passed away. Then I went to do my hair which took a long a time. I was so exhausted because I fell asleep while the lady put the perm in my hair. The lady had to shake me to let me know that it was time to wash it. After, I did laundry and took my daughter whose been bugging me for the past two weeks to the mall to buy some book Breaking Dawn. I finally took her so she would leave me alone. When I finally got home, i just ate and went to bed.

Sept. 18
I went to work last night. I had a very busy night, because I was working in the Emergency Room. To make it worse for me, my daughter was supposed to get up at 6:00 a.m. to get ready for school. Usually, I call her about 6:30 a.m. to make sure she's getting ready. When I called her this morning, she did not answer her phone. I thought that she was probably in the shower. When I got off 5 min. after 7 a.m. I called her again. When she picked up the phone, she was still in bed, sleeping. That was the time she was supposed to be on the bus for school. I was so mad and frustrated because I knew I had to go and drop her off to school. I had a bad night and my day started in the same way. Anyway, when I went to school, I felt a little much better. I laughed and talked a little bit, that was helping me.

The sadness
On Thursday night, I went to work. I was working in mother baby unit. The mother baby unit is where the moms come with the baby after delivery. That night, I had a young patient. She just turned 13 years old. She gave birth to a baby girl. She was telling me she doesn't want the baby, because she is too young. She doesn't know how to take care of the baby. She told me her mother left her with her father since she was 8 years old. When I looked at her, she looked so sad and so young that it made me feel sad too.

It was so crowded people can not even moved around. To tell you the truth, I was very disappointed.
